Brevard County Housing Market

Brevard County Housing MarketIn recent news, the Brevard County Housing Market has been reported with a major rise in sales activity. The real estate market has been trending upward, together with an uptrend in economic momentum. As a result, in the month of October, real estate agents enjoyed more sales. In fact, the number of single family homes that sold in the County was up 17% or more in October vs. the same month last year. Prices also rose. The difference in median price in the same period was and increase of about 19%.

Examining the Brevard County Housing Market

With the growth in sales, economic health and prices, real estate companies throughout Brevard County were able to earn more profits. Trends point to continued strength in the market and more opportunities for firms to recoup some of their losses. These losses were incurred during the economic downturn. Many gains have even led some real estate firms to expand. The Brevard County housing market is looking pretty good.

In even better news, some real estate firms reported a run on purchases in the past few months. Statistics tell the story with a Brevard County increase of homes sales to  851 this October over 727 last October. The median home price went up from $120,00 to $143,000 in the same period.

Warmer weather and the relatively affordable Brevard County housing market may be some of the drivers in the positive upswing. As interest and sales continue, less access in home choices may develop, signaling more price increases. A robust market is expected in the coming year with these facts in mind. Nearby housing markets in the state have reported similar recovery. That is a generally good sign for the statewide market. Some of the most hard hit markets in the downturn have picked up positive figures. Some of their real estate firms are planning to expand.

A very good sign of upward trends in the coming year is seen in the decrease of foreclosures. Many more sales are traditional. That creates more balance in the Brevard County housing market and other markets in Florida. In fact, the signs nationally reflect a similar market and continued upswing. Plenty of seller and buyer confidence is expected going into 2015.
